Funny Looking Oz Style

After going to see Wicked a few weekends back with some girls in my dorm, I borrowed the book for some light reading...

If you know me at all, I'm horrid with compliments, pick-up lines, anything really... apparently guys don't find "I don't think you're ugly..." to be the greatest compliment ever...Well, after reading this I've decided I'm QUITE the charmer/seductress/tempstress etc. (well, not that my amazing looks, intellect and oh, yes, humility didn't already show that):

Galinda (soon to be Glenda the Good) is complimenting a Munchkin (Elphaba becomes the Wicked Witch of the West) ...

"Your merits," she was saying. "Well, you're brave, I suppose, clever...If Madame Morrible ever found you here we'd be in sever trouble. Of course you might not know that, so scratch the bravery part. Just clever. You're clever and you're sort of, oh, well, I mean to look at-"
"Handsome?" suggested Elphaba. "Dashing?"
"You're fun to look at," decided Galinda....
"I'd give a lot to achieve fun," Elphaba said. "The best I usually hope for is stirring, and when people say that they're usually referring to digestion-"



next time you look into his/her eyes why not try this one out:
"You're brave, fun to look at and stirring *holdsback puke*.....well, scratch the brave part"

it definitely beats:
"You're funny...funny looking" *shudders*
